




Born in Varkus, Finland in 1962, Mikaela Dörfel exhibits an extraordinary sensitivity for innovate shapes. After completing her studies in industrial design in Hamburg, she spent eight years as Design Manager for Rosenthal. In 1996 she established her own firm. Porcelain and stainless steel are her materials of choice. She uses these for mono as well as other companies, creating fascinating products for the discerning table.
