Born in Wülfrath in 1947, Fried Ulber originally studied mechanical engineering, but then he followed his original career path by studying industrial design in Wuppertal. As an independent designer since 1973, he is much in demand, and at the head of his class in his understanding and handling of stainless steel, a material that allows him to express his preference for clarity of form.
