Commemorative Exhibit: Peter Raacke – celebrating 50 years of design at the German Technical Museum in Berlin

On April 11, 2003 the exhibit commemorating 50 years of Peter Raacke designs was opened to great acclaim at the German Technical Museum in Berlin. The exhibit will run through October 5, 2003, providing an in-depth view of the works of this multi-faceted artist whose functional designs have become a pivotal element in German lifestyle. In addition to the mono-a flatware designed in 1958, and considered a design icon, as well as many other designs for mono, the exhibit includes a cross section of his extensive work.

The exhibit was supported by mono, Mr. Wilhelm Seibel, the city of Mettmann. The images are from the opening event, at which the introductory remarks were made by Prof. Dr. Bazon Brock.

In honor of this event, mono is issuing a limited edition (600 sets) of the 4-piece classic mono-a flatware in a commemorative gift box with a certificate. The back-side of the handles show the German Technical Museum's logo, the date, and a facsimile of Peter Paacke's signature. This limited edition is available through a handful of select retailers.
